Dear esteemed colleagues and friends,

   On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we would like to welcome you to the 9th Meeting Endourology and Minimally Invasive Surgery, which will take place on 13-14 April 2018 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
   The 9th in a row meeting aims to offer an up-to-date insight on modern diagnostic and therapeutic techniques in stone surgery and is organized by Military Medical Academy of Sofia and the Bulgarian Association of Endourology and SWL with the support and endorsement of the EAU Section of Urolithiasis (EULIS), the International Alliance of Urolithiasis (IAU), the South-Eastern Group for Urolithiasis Research (SEGUR) and Urology in Emerging countries association (U-merge).
   The scientific programme of the meeting will focus on state-of-the-art lectures, debates, Live-surgery sessions and Hands-on-training sessions delivered by a distinguished and internationally renowned faculty, giving the opportunity to the participants to update their knowledge on the stone disease. The delegates will have the great opportunity to present their own work during the moderated poster and video session.
   The 9th in a row meeting “Endourology and Minimally Invasive Surgery” is expected to become once again a meeting point for urologists and young doctors working in the field of minimally invasive urology and interested in mastering the art of Endourology and exchanging professional ideas and experience in a friendly atmosphere.

The 9th Meeting Endourology and Minimally Invasive Surgery, Sofia, Bulgaria, 13/04/2018-14/04/2018 has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 14 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Information on the process to convert EACCME® credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org/education/earn-credit-participation-international-activities

Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® or ECMEC®s are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Each participant can only receive the number of credits he/she is entitled to according to his/her actual participation at the event once he/she has completed the feedback form. Cf. criteria 9 and 23 of UEMS 2016.20.

Confirmation of registration
As soon as the appropriate fees have been received, participants will receive a confirmation letter of the relevant bookings. Participants are kindly requested to produce their registration’s confirmation letter upon their check-in at the Registration Desk of the meeting.

Cancellation policy
Cancellation of registration should be made in writing to the Meeting Organizing Bureau before March 1st, 2018 with 100% refund of the registration fee. For every written cancellation received from March 2nd to March 15th 2018, 50% of the registration fee will be refunded. There will be no refund thereafter. All refunds will be made within two months after the end of the Meeting. Bank charges will be deducted.

Certificates
All registered participants will receive certificate of attendance at the end of the meeting.

Badges and Identification
Registration badges will be used during the Meeting. For identification purposes and admission to session halls, participants are requested to wear their badges, which will be given to them upon registration, at all times. Admission to the Meeting areas will not be allowed without badge identification.

Abstract submission procedure for the Moderated poster and video session:

  • All abstracts should be submitted in electronic format through the symposium website in Bulgarian and English language
  • The format of the abstract should be as follows: no longer than 300 words with the following sections: introduction, objective, material and methods, results, conclusions.
  • All abstracts will be reviewed by the scientific committee
  • Accepted posters will be presented in e-posters (ppt) format on TV screens (participants do not need to print the poster).
  • During the moderated poster and video session the presenting author will have 5 minutes for 2-3 slides oral presentation of the poster.
  • Accepted video presentations will be presented during the the moderated poster and video session and the presenting author will have maximum 10 minutes to present the video
  • Corresponding authors will be notified if their abstract has been accepted only by e-mail
  • Accepted abstracts will be published in a supplementary issue of journal “Endourology and Minimally Invasive Surgery”.
  • The publication of the abstract is conditional upon registration for the meeting of at least one of the authors per abstract
  • The authors are responsible for ensuring the authenticity of all data presented in their abstracts
  • Submitted abstracts will be reviewed with the understanding that they have not been published previously in print or electronic format
  • If an author wishes to withdraw a submitted abstract, a written request should be sent to the Organizing committee
